This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you subscribe to the mailing list of Damly ("we", "our").

Data collected

We only collect your email address through the subscription form.

Purpose of processing

We use your email address to:

  • send you updates about the development and features of Damly;
  • send you newsletters and promotional communications related to our services.

Legal basis

The legal basis for processing is the consent you voluntarily provide when subscribing (Art. 6, para. 1, lett. a GDPR).

Processing and retention

Data is processed electronically and stored in secure systems.

Your data will be retained until you unsubscribe from the mailing list.

Data sharing

We may use external email management services (e.g. Brevo) to send communications. In such cases, data will be transferred to the service provider acting as a data processor.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

User rights

At any time, you may:

  • withdraw your consent
  • request access to your data
  • request rectification or deletion
  • restrict or object to processing

Data protection & Google Calendar integration

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Damly only accesses the events it creates/manages and your list of calendars, via Google's official APIs and a standard OAuth 2.0 flow. We apply the following measures to protect this data (including data considered sensitive):

  • all data in transit to Google's APIs is always encrypted (HTTPS/TLS);
  • access tokens are stored exclusively on your local device (never on our servers), with permissions restricted to your user account only;
  • no Google Calendar data is shared, sold, or transferred to third parties;
  • you can revoke access at any time from Damly's settings or directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and locally linked data is removed on disconnect.

Self-hosted AI model

Damly integrates an AI model (Qwen3.5, GGUF format) that is downloaded and runs entirely locally on your device via the node-llama-cpp library. The model is used exclusively to assist in writing tasks (e.g. suggesting a title, description, or project from the text you type). No task text is sent to external or third-party servers for this processing: inference happens offline, on your own computer, and this data never leaves your device for this purpose. The model is not trained or improved using your data.

Limited Use compliance (Google API Services)

Damly's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, data obtained through the Google Calendar API is not used, transferred, or sold to train or improve generalized or non-generalized AI/machine learning models, and is not used for advertising.
